Adirondack 46 peaks
If you’re an outdoor adventure lover like myself, hiking is definitely on your hobby list and Upstate New York doesn’t fall short on hiking mountains. There is what’s called the Adirondack 46 Peaks. Consisting of just that- 46 mountain peaks that will challenge even the most physically fit with the highest peak, Marcy Mountain at 5,344(ft) Elevation. But not all of the peaks are only for the hiking junkies, there are plenty that are doable for the average bear and provide some spectacular views! Meet Cascade Mountain, a 4.8mile route that has a beautiful 360 degree view summit! Bring your family, your pets, your walking stick and especially a camera. This hike will take approx. 2-3hours so keep a yummy CliffBar handy.
Believe it or not, it doesn’t stop there. There are way more hiking trails than the Adirondack 46 peaks. You can find some for just views, waterfalls, swimming holes and pet and family friendly! Take a look here: Adirondack Hiking

The Boldt Castle nestled on 1000 Islands is definitely a unique attraction and with a heart warming story behind it! You see, Mr. George C. Boldt constructed this million dollar castle in 1900 as a summer home in honor of his beloved wife Louise. Boldt.
However, only a few months before completion, sadly Louise passed away leaving George to completely stop construction and the beautiful castle vacant for over seventy years.
Now this beautiful mansion is open for site seeing, take a tour boat and visit the many structures this castle has to offer!
